Recall the primary issues being addressed are optimum Skype call audio quality and "portability" at a "no brainer" price. The noise canceling headset for airplanes that I have requires a AAA battery to activate the noise cancellation; such a feature would only add to the cost and miss the targeted price point. Note that you must also use the volume control in your Skype client to adjust volume levels; again a hardware volume control would add to cost and the latest Skype clients do include a volume slider in the "Call" window. Good features to consider for a "premium" headset.

A great head set by all reviews and a worthily accessory addition to Skype, the only thing it is missing is a noise cancellation function for listening to music with your iPhone while on an airplane. Dave
