Re bandwidth: As stated in my previous post, HD Video calls are supposed to require a minimum 800Kbps bandwidth. For that reason I have not upgraded my own Internet service beyond 1Mbps upload so that I can test that this minimum is met in an actual call. Two factors contributing to this: (1) the H.264 compression is done on the webcam itself and (2) Skype has worked on its client to minimize the upload bandwidth requirement. Going beyond 1 Mbps for a minimum would certainly reduce the market size for these webcams.

It will degrade to VGA (640 x 480) or even lower if conditions do not permit HD transmission.

I notice it saying 2 megabits of bandwidth. That's going to be the real killer, there just aren't that many people who can sustain that on upstream. Nobody on DSL, some people on cable modems (though not many in the same area) and while many corporations have networks in those ranges, I don't know how many of their employees can be sending or receiving 2 megabit streams reliably.

Will be interesting to learn. I had heard 1 megabit would work though, which helps a lot. I presume your sample was on a LAN and it was using all it can use.

They initially said March for the cameras — I am eager to try and review one — and now "Spring" which probably means June, alas.

Some questions that will be interesting — how well does it degrade if you don't have the bandwidth? Does it just drop to 640×480 or to 854×480, or does it do anything in between?
